# Teen Patti Gold Game Modes Explained
Teen Patti Gold offers multiple Teen Patti variants, plus special table formats. Each mode changes hand rankings, wild cards, or deal rules, so understanding the differences keeps you from making costly mistakes. All modes use the core Teen Patti mechanics: boot, blind/seen play, sideshow, and showdown.

Classic Teen Patti

This is the standard beginner mode, following traditional 3‑card hand rankings.
- Each player gets 3 cards.
- Hand strength (strongest to weakest): Trail > Pure Sequence > Sequence > Color > Pair > High Card
- Standard blind and seen betting rules apply, sideshow is usually allowed.
- Best for new players who are learning boot, pot rules, and basic bluffing.
- Common mistake: Trying to use wild-card logic from Joker or AK47 tables here — no wild cards exist in Classic.

Muflis (Lowball)

Muflis reverses everything. The **lowest hand wins**, not the strongest.
- Rank order is flipped: High Card beats Pair, Pair beats Color, and so on. A Trail is one of the worst hands you can hold.
- The iconic best hand in Muflis is unsuited 2‑3‑5.
- Strategy tip: Avoid high-value cards like Aces, Kings and Queens.
- This mode is tricky for casual players, because your instinct from Classic works against you.

Joker Mode

One random rank is drawn at the start of the round, and every card of that rank becomes a wild joker.
- Jokers can substitute for any card to make a trail, sequence, or color.
- More strong hands appear, so pots often get bigger.
- Important: The Joker rank changes every hand. It is fixed for that round only.
- Tip: If you hold the joker rank, you can play more aggressively; if not, be careful about overcalling.

AK47 Mode

A very popular wild variant with fixed wild cards: **Aces, Kings, 4s, and 7s are all jokers**.
- No new random joker drawn each round. These four ranks are always wild.
- Trails and pure sequences happen much more often.
- Pairs and ordinary high cards are weaker in AK47 than in Classic.
- This is a high-variance mode with lots of surprise strong hands.

Best of Four

Players receive 4 cards instead of 3. At showdown, you select the best 3 out of your four cards to form your hand.
- Hand rankings follow Classic rules.
- More flexibility means stronger hands are more frequent.
- Great for players who like extra decision-making, but pots tend to be bigger.

Hukam Mode

One suit is selected as trump suit at the start of the hand.
- Cards from the Hukam suit get priority when comparing hands in some tie scenarios.
- This adds a suit-based layer that Classic and Joker modes do not have.
- Rules for Hukam vary slightly by table; always check the table pop-up before playing.

Private Room Mode

This is not a rule variant, but a table format.
- You create a private table, set your boot value, and share a room code with friends.
- No random strangers join. You can pick which Teen Patti variant to use inside the private room.
- Perfect for home practice or friendly games without public-table pressure.

Tournament Mode

Tournaments run in scheduled, multi-round formats.
- All players start with the same chip stack.
- Players are eliminated when they lose all chips, until a final winner is decided.
- Tournaments can use Classic, Muflis, Joker or AK47 rules, depending on the event.
- Many tournaments have entry requirements and leaderboard prizes.

Common Situations & Quick Clarifications

### Situation 1: Joining a table without checking the mode
A frequent error: A player joins a Muflis table and bets hard on a Trail, not realizing Trails are bad. Always confirm the mode label before placing your boot.

### Situation 2: Joker and AK47 wild card confusion
In Joker mode: only one rank is wild per hand. In AK47: A, K, 4, 7 are always wild. Do not mix them up.

### Situation 3: Sideshow availability
Sideshow rules differ across modes. Some Joker or AK47 tables disable sideshow, while Classic tables usually allow it.

Common Mistakes

❌ Playing Muflis using Classic hand logic
❌ Forgetting the Joker rank resets every hand in Joker mode
❌ Confusing AK47 fixed wilds with random Joker mode
❌ Ignoring the “Best of Four” rule and evaluating only the first three cards
❌ Joining tournaments without reading the variant rules for that event
