Teen Patti Gold follows classic Teen Patti rules, with extra digital features and game variants. This guide is for recreational learning only and does not promote real-money gambling. The main goal is to win the pot by holding the strongest three-card hand or making all other players fold before the showdown.
A standard 52-card deck is used for classic tables. Each round starts with every active player paying the boot, the mandatory initial chip stake that builds the starting pot. After the boot is placed, the dealer deals three face-down cards to each player, and the dealer position rotates clockwise after every hand. You must keep your cards hidden from other players.
The core betting rule divides players into Blind and Seen. A Blind player does not check their cards and places bets at half the Seen stake. A Seen player has looked at their cards, and each bet is double the Blind amount. Blind players can choose to look at their cards and switch to Seen status at any time, but once you become Seen, you cannot go back to Blind. Only Seen players are allowed to request a side show.
Betting moves clockwise around the table. On your turn, you have three main actions. Call means matching the current stake to stay in the hand. Raise means increasing the stake to pressure other players. Fold, or pack, means dropping out and losing all chips you have already put into the pot.
Side show is a special feature for Seen players. You can send a side show request to the previous Seen player. They may accept or decline. If accepted, both players privately compare hands; the weaker hand folds. If declined, the game continues without revealing any cards. Blind players cannot ask for or receive a side show.
When only two players remain, a show can be called. Both players reveal their cards, and the higher-ranked hand wins the entire pot. If all other players fold before a show, the last remaining player wins automatically without showing their cards.
Hand rankings from strongest to weakest follow standard Teen Patti order. Trail (three cards of the same rank) ranks first, and any trail beats any pure sequence. Next is Pure Sequence (three consecutive cards of the same suit), then Normal Sequence (consecutive ranks, mixed suits), Colour (same suit, non-consecutive), Pair, and High Card. Suits never decide ties; only card ranks matter.
Teen Patti Gold offers many optional variants with modified rules, including Muflis, Joker, AK47, and private friend rooms. Muflis reverses hand strength so the weakest hand wins. Joker tables add wild joker cards. Private rooms let you set your own boot and invite only friends.
Common beginner rules to remember. A Seen player cannot force a show from a Blind player. If you keep calling raises with weak high-card hands, you will lose chips quickly. Always check the table boot and betting limits before joining, as different tables have different stake sizes.
Simple rules keep Teen Patti Gold fast and fun. Master the Blind/Seen betting system, side show limits and hand hierarchy first. Once you understand these basics, you can try different variants and practise reading your opponents’ betting patterns.
